Robert Walters are delighted to partner with a well respected Fund Manager in Dublin in the search for a new Designated Person of Operational Risk.

The Designated person of Op Risk will work closely with DP of Fund Risk and report directly to the CRO, and will be responsible for managing all things Operational Risk and dealing with the regulator.

The Designated Person of Operational Risk will:

  • Work alongside the HoR to provide an effective risk management system built on strong governance, policies, oversight and controls
  • Ownership of the Operational Risk Oversight process, including operational risk items such as: static prices, investment restriction breaches, various errors, late trades, significant changes to systems or procedures and other operational risks applicable to the Funds in order to monitor the Funds' risk levels and exposure to risk
  • Manage and develop the operational risk system including the capture, maintenance and reporting of key risk processes for errors & breaches, risk & control self-assessments, resiliency (including business continuity), counterparty risk and key risk indicators for the business
  • Analysis of risk information to determine root causes, trends and risk events
  • Assist with queries and responses to client/service provider due diligence requests and RFPs
  • Provide training on risk processes and polices as required develop stakeholder relationships
  • Be responsible for the oversight of outsourced relationships and related processes including resolution of issues identified
  • Lead and implement CP140 across the business and continue to develop and enhance embedding CP138.

The Designated Person of Operational Risk will have experience of a wide range of investment products (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives & Private Markets) and a track record of delivering and developing risk frameworks and policies.
