We are seeking a motivated Fashion apparel category manager to enhance our marketplace operations and drive significant business growth. Key Responsibilities: Business Development and Strategic Planning: Negotiate effectively with key sellers to optimize our local selection and secure competitive pricing advantages. Identify and prioritize seller growth opportunities based on market analysis and product mix assessment. Develop insights into market demand and competitor strategies to drive sales performance across diverse categories. Seller Operations Oversight: Provide expert guidance to sellers regarding channel operations on the Miravia and Aliexpress platforms, including best practices for utilizing marketing tools and advertising solutions. Leverage prior marketplace operations experience to enhance seller performance and satisfaction. Sales Promotion and Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and implement targeted promotional campaigns that boost the visibility of local products within the marketplace. Manage a strategic mix of local and international products to maximize sales opportunities, ensuring alignment with market peculiarities and customer preferences. Commodity Market Analysis: Conduct a thorough analysis of user demand for commodities, enhancing market supply and establishing a rhythm for annual product promotions aligned with seasonal trends. Utilize consumer insights to adapt our offerings and seller strategies accordingly. Innovative Promotional Activities: Lead the coordination of annual category plans, integrating market resources and exploring innovative marketing models to enhance brand and seller visibility. Negotiate co-marketing initiatives with stakeholders to strengthen commercial relationships and align marketing efforts with key players. Technical Integration Support: Maintain a high-level understanding of the integration methods between seller ERP systems and the marketplace environment (such as API and middleware). Offer technical guidance to ensure seamless seller operations and platform efficiency. Project Management Excellence: Manage multiple innovative business projects concurrently, ensuring collaboration with internal and external partners meets critical deadlines and objectives. Conduct ongoing research and analysis of the e-commerce landscape, adapting strategies to stay ahead of market trends and competitive conditions.
Position Requirement
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in seller operations or as a marketplace manager.
Market Knowledge:
In-depth familiarity with the fashion distribution market and a keen understanding of brand operations within an e-commerce context.
Commercial Expertise:
Proven track record in developing commercial relationships with marketplace sellers, along with effective promotion planning and resource coordination.
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in data processing and analysis, with advanced Excel capabilities essential for performance tracking and insight generation.
Negotiation Experience:
Significant experience in business negotiation and purchasing, with a focus on commodities and successful project management.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential; knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
