Task

Dignity4Patients are seeking an enthusiastic trustee for their board with Governance experience in company and/or charity regulations and risk mitigation.

If you want to play a key role in advising and advancing the governance of Dignity4Patients and the development on the organisations policies and procedures, we are keen to hear from you.

Responsibilities Will Include The Following

• Providing input into the strategic direction of Dignity4Patients and contributing with governance expertise and oversight for our operations.
• Assist with policy formation and implementation to maintain high levels of compliance with company and charity regulation.
• Provide advice and direction on best practise in the area of general governance for the best interests of both the organisation and our clients.
  
  

There will be approx. 8 board meetings a year held at our offices in Drogheda, Co. Louth or via Zoom.

Board members are expected to commit 4 hours each month to board work for research, development,correspondence and meeting attendance etc.

To facilitate occasional face to face board, committee and funder meetings candidates should ideally be located in Meath, Dublin, Louth areas or be willing to travel to Drogheda.

What’s Required

• A deep appreciation of the Not-For-Profit sector and its workings.
• At least 3 years’ experience operating at a senior level.
• An understanding of and commitment to our mission and values.
• Commitment to highest levels of charity governance.
• Previous Board of Management desirable but not essential.
