We are now looking for a new EMEA Portfolio Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team in Madrid, Spain!
The EMEA portfolio marketing manager oversees Vertiv product portfolio for Europe, Middle East and Africa including product launches and active portfolio campaigns. This role is key in supporting the company’s go-to-market and ongoing promotional strategies for the organization’s products, driving sales enablement and guiding targeting efforts for market segments. The EMEA portfolio marketing manager is a trusted advisor and connection point between regional marketing teams, marketing COEs, regional offering managers and regional sales teams for any portfolio-related activity and is accountable for key launch success metrics and active portfolio campaigns, while driving sales enablement best practices within target segments.
What kind of work will you be doing?
• Ensuring product launches and campaigns follow best practices for measuring effectiveness, including, but not limited to: success KPIs, lessons learned, and launch costs.
• Monitoring sand report on the performance of the marketing product launch and active promotional results.
• Driving sales enablement best practices and standards to support sales and regional field/segment marketers in meeting their revenue targets.
• Establishing strategies and campaigns to drive retention, upsell and cross-sell for the product portfolio in specific segments, or partner with a formalized marketing function in doing so.
• Act as a trusted advisor and connection point between regional marketing teams, marketing COEs, regional offering managers and regional sales teams for any portfolio-related activity.
• Develop deep understanding of the EMEA buying audience and segments by working with marketing and offering managers to conduct research to gather insight about target personas, buyer needs and the purchasing decision process for the organization’s products.
• Drive an audience-centric marketing approach within the organization, ensuring that messaging, content and campaign strategies are outcome based and centered around customer buying needs in their segments.
• Oversee and provide input for product positioning, value propositions and messaging that resonates with the buying audience; ensure that offering managers are providing source messaging documents for use by downstream marketing functions such as campaign, demand and content teams.
• Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to guide marketing launch teams in their day-to-day activities.
What Would Be the Perfect Qualifications?
• Bachelor’s in Communications, Marketing or related field.
• Master’s in Communications or Marketing (preferred).
• Ability to conduct market, competitor and customer research to gather insights and assess market opportunities.
• Ability to create value propositions and messaging strategies.
• Ability to develop strategies for creating marketing driven pipeline for new and existing offerings as well as upsell, cross-sell and account-based marketing programs to grow existing relationships.
• Strong writing, communication, presentation development and delivery skills.
• Demonstrated competence in critical thinking; can dissect problems through qualitative and quantitative analysis, develop solutions with a team, prioritize ideas and see them through to execution.
• Strong business acumen and decision-making skills.
• Goal oriented self-starter; comfortable with ambiguity, know how to define clear objectives in uncertainty and deliver results.
• Process-oriented; experience managing projects from initial scoping to execution, implementation and ongoing control.
• Ability to keep pace in a high-output environment.
• Empathetic to buyers, customers, users and sales resources.
