In this role you will be responsible to lead communications to Electrification’s partners globally including distributors and channel partners which together represent more than half of the business area’s revenues. You will also partner with others to build and execute innovative and effective communications that contribute to business success and elevate the reputation of Electrification with this important stakeholder group.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and executing a communication, strategy, messaging plan that elevates the position of Electrification globally with distributors and channel partners including traditional and digital media
  • Build a working group across all Electrification Divisions to ensure collaboration and alignment in ways that are common.
  • Work with the communication team of key distributors and partners in joint communications and strategic communications to important trade associations and related communities
  • Is the voice for Channel Partners within the Communications team, help tell the story of these important partnerships, lead digital and in-person events that deliver strategic value to the business area
  • Has experience with metrics for key audiences and establishes quality via KPIs and can build and deliver improvement plans when needed. Has a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Has a robust communications network, seeks to promote and gain knowledge of current practices and innovation
  • Lead branding on topics related to our partners including trade licensing and partners’ use of the ABB brand

Your background

  • Strategic communications experience with commercial experience, excellent storyteller.
  • Understands the external communications landscape to identify where the best story can and should be told
  • Has deep digital communications experience particularly to customers
  • Team player who thrives by contributing to the success of the team and the business and can influence and work successfully in a matrixed organization
  • Advanced knowledge of communication metrics, channels and stakeholder mapping
