My client is an innovator in the quantum computing space who are looking for a Director of Engineering to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders from product, architecture and delivery right through to the business and operations side of the organisation. You will join a fast-growing team helping to shape the future direction of the organisation and its product offering while providing strategic and technical leadership to engineering teams, helping the team with personal and professional development.

Director of Engineering - Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing a technical approach and roadmap for one or more engineering teams while collaborating with senior management, science, product and architecture teams.
• You will grow and develop a diverse software engineering team to drive software development best practices, address technical skill gaps and provide suitable solutions to improve the team's functionality.
• While mentoring and developing your team, you will define and implement a comprehensive strategy and roadmap, acting as a driver to growth within your business domain.
  
  
  

Director of Engineering - Experience required:

• Extensive track record in product delivery and engineering success in a variety of verticals and scales.
• 10 years' experience of technical leadership and people management
• Experience building out highly-motivated engineering teams, taking an active involvement in recruitment, mentoring and retention of staff.
• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to influence internal teams and stakeholders to drive technical progress.
• Excellent ability to spot business opportunities and generate positive outcomes, helping to drive organisational transformation.
• Ability to define and develop strategic vision with a track record of successful implementation and growth.
• Experience solving complex and diverse technical problems evidenced by tangible achievements and results.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any other relevant field.
