Job Description Summary:
Symphony Health is a leading provider of data and analytics to the healthcare industry. Our clients rely on us to deliver accurate and timely insights to help them make informed decisions. We are seeking a highly experienced Database Administrator II to join our team to help build and maintain our data integration pipelines. As a Database Administrator II, you will be responsible for designing, building, and managing our data integration and processing systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that are efficient, scalable, and meet business requirements.
Job Description:
- Manage and support Snowflake and other platforms that reside in a data center and in public cloud environments.
- Design, implement and manage highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions.
- Work closely with other engineering and operations teams to ensure proper integration of database infrastructure with other systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance, security, and availability.
- Manages, monitors, and maintains multiple databases to ensure necessary resources are present.
- Implements scripts for database monitoring and to automate routine tasks.
- Completes SQL tuning and database performance optimization, balancing usability and automation.
- Point of escalation for issues and request for client group.
- Executes planned database maintenance.
- Enhance technical documentation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Advanced knowledge of database environments, control systems, software development lifecycle (etc).
- Strong knowledge of ITIL methodology.
- Strong customer service/communication skills.
- Advanced technical skills with the ability to analyze and problem solve.
- Strong ability to evaluate and implement database tuning.
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.
- 3 years of relevant experience.
