We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this exciting role include;

Accountability for supporting the DPO in all GDPR requirements pertaining to the Ireland region;
Support the delivery of the handling and protection of personal data assets of employees, suppliers, customers and end user of services in line with legal and regulatory compliance requirement under the ROI Data protection Act 2018 and GDPR;
Support the delivery of processes, policies and procedures to ensure that Ireland is compliant with DHL Group personal data processing corporate guidelines, industry best practice and the appropriate legislation;
Oversee the detailed roll out and delivery of processes, procedures, training and guidance as developed with the DPO to underpin a Data Protection Management System to ensure compliance of the region with applicable Data Protection related legislation;
Support the DPO and business in delivering detailed customer and internally focused elements to protect the company's and customers' information assets and reputation in line with legal requirements and contractual arrangements;
Oversee the delivery of a compliant culture within the region and rolling out the specified data protection compliance framework for Ireland in conjunction with the DPO and Data Protection Champions.

A minimum of 2 years working in data protection or similar compliance related role;
A minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience and from within a corporate environment;
Good knowledge of data protection and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR);
An understanding of technical IT frameworks such as ITIL, ISO/IEC 27000 family;
An understanding and awareness of current data management and communications technologies;
Proven experience in supporting the delivery of change improvements;
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
Effective stakeholder management skills.
A certification or qualification in the field of data protection and/or risk management would be desirable;
Educated to graduate level in a relevant field would be desirable.
