PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Addleshaw Goddard's entrance into Ireland presents a huge opportunity for the Dublin office to leverage off its international presence and Addleshaw Goddard's outstanding Corporate practice across the UK and Europe.
Following the sustained success of the Dublin Corporate team, we are now looking to recruit additional Associates to support the continued growth of the practice.
From the outset this role will give you a high level of client contact and the chance to play a critical role in supporting the practice's development across a variety of Corporate areas including M&A (Public and Private), Private Equity and/or Equity Capital Markets work.
THE TEAM
Our Corporate and Commercial team comprises a highly regarded and dedicated group of transactional and commercial lawyers with diverse skill sets. The working environment is challenging, fast paced and dynamic and would provide an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic solicitor that feels they should be getting more out of their career, better exposure to complex issues and direct engagement with clients whilst working in a busy and collegiate atmosphere.
The team act for a wide range of clients including public companies, private companies and international and domestic bodies across a broad range of industry sectors and advise on all areas of corporate and commercial law including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and refinancing, joint venture arrangements, private equity and venture capital investments and corporate governance. We pride ourselves in delivering commercial, practical and timely advice to our clients.
What to expect in this role
You can expect to work collaboratively as part of a wider team as well as managing components of transactions independently.
You will have specific experience in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions transactions and managing due diligence processes
We have a strong culture of support and collaboration and, as a member of the team, you will be encouraged to contribute to business and practice development activities. You can also be expected to be involved in the supervision and development of other team members
your areas of knowledge and expertise
To be successful in this role, what are the:
Be a qualified Solicitor (in Ireland or England and Wales), ideally with a minimum of 2 years' relevant post qualification experience in a corporate and commercial team in a top or mid-tier firm.
Most importantly, you should have a genuine interest in Corporate law and be keen to develop your knowledge and experience.
Have excellent academic achievement
Clear understanding and working experience of the operation and structure of a leading law firm and the needs of the clients of a topflight team
The ability to actively support the management of complex transactions, liaising and coordinating with fee earners from other relevant disciplines as needed.
Possess strong team skills, thriving in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, with like-minded people.
Be able to demonstrate a strong service ethos, to meet the demands of a variety of clients on challenging and rewarding deals.
You will be someone who welcomes new challenges and actively looks for the opportunity to develop and grow the business.
Have excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
Have a calm and measured approach to problem solving;
Have a flexible positive attitude towards work
