Who We Are Looking For

Reporting to the Vice President within the Business Risk Management Ireland Team the AVP is responsible for supporting appropriate governance and oversight of operational risk within the first line of defence and act as a valued partner to the business in the identification, assessment and mitigation of risk, and cultivation of a framework of practices which enable a balance of commercial considerations with the risk excellence objectives established by business leadership. In addition, the AVP will support the implementation of globally consistent risk and control practices across the business, to the extent practicable from a commercial and regulatory perspective.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As Business Risk Management you will

  • Understand business risk matters across products within the legal entity/country in order to provide a holistic view of risks
  • Provide requisite support to local leadership for implementation of the appropriate governance, monitoring and reporting to manage the risk profile of the LE/Country given its business activities and the local regulatory regime to which it is subject (e.g. support Incident and Issues Management, RCSA, LERA, Regulatory Change activities etc.)
  • Ensure global risk management practices and programs are implemented for the entity with clear management and oversight
  • Partner with the second and third lines of defence in support of local risk and control initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to refine LE/Country specific requirements in line with regulatory and corporate requirements relevant to the business
  • With responsibility for a small team the VP will ensure tasks are executed in a timely and efficient manner to meet all Policy and Regulatory requirements

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with and analysing data and drafting reports for senior management.
  • Experience in change/project management
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry
