Network and Systems Administrator [m/f/x, full-time (40 hours)]

Our Digital Transformation journey is pivotal to our future success. To bring our vision to life, we need your expertise in network and system administration to help maintain and enhance our digital infrastructure. This position is ideal for an administrator who possesses mature expertise in network administration, along with complementary experience in the areas of system administration and cybersecurity.

You will

• Round out our IT Operations team composed of system administrators, client administrators, and support technicians with your network administration expertise.
• Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our campus network infrastructure.
• Lead the monitoring and troubleshooting of issues related to the network infrastructure.
• Manage relations and contracts with our network service providers.
• Support administration of our data center, server and backup infrastructure (VMWare and Proxmox virtualization of Windows and Linux server environments).
• Contribute a well-developed perspective on modern cybersecurity related topics.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues to find solutions and identify opportunities to improve the user experience with our services and IT systems.

You are qualified for this position, because you

• Have extensive knowledge in the field of network and connectivity design, implementation, operation, and monitoring (Routing, Switching, LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, NAC, Firewall)
• Have experience with network management systems: Extreme Networks Netsight, Aruba Central, and Palo Alto PAN-OS.
• Have experience supporting Windows and Linux server administration. Ideally experience with server virtualization VMWare and Proxmox.
• Have a strong interest, experience or certifications in cybersecurity topics.
• Can communicate confidently in English. German skills are a plus.
• Strive for service excellence and have a hands-on mentality. Interaction with users is a natural part of your working style.
