The Role:

Hanley Calibration are looking for a fixed site Calibration Team Lead. While this role will primarily be desk based, there will be times when the Calibration Lead will be hands on out in the field. The Calibration Lead will be responsible for the overall management of the Calibration Department with Quality, Safety & Compliance at the forefront of operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Management of the site Calibration Team and any extra resources required on site for periods such as site shutdown, projects, etc.
  • Liaise with site management to determine specific site requirements and targets.
  • Attend site Engineering and planning meetings.
  • Liaise with the relevant personnel to enable scheduling of downtime on equipment for routine and Non-routine Calibrations.
  • Scheduling of WO’s to personnel within the Calibration department.
  • Review all current Calibration and Quality SOP’s aligned to Engineering and/or Calibration department.
  • Develop and Implement a structure for reporting site KPI’s, Continuous Improvements and Quality & Safety Observations.
  • Responsible for all Calibration Standards on site including maintenance and recertification.
  • Responsible for scheduling and managing external vendors.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of Hanley Calibration Site Safe portal.
  • The Calibration Lead will liaise with all parties associated with any site projects/upgrades including review of instrumentation and completion of Criticality Risk Assessments.
  • Will review all current criticality risk assessments ensuring all instrumentation is fit for current processes.
  • The Calibration Lead will have a complete overview of all activities on site and will advise on any non-conformance and Instrumentation issues.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Time served electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) or Instrumentation (I) qualified or B.Sc. Degree in instrument / electronic engineering or equivalent.
  • +5 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical and Medical device industry.
  • Able to demonstrate strong customer relationship skills.
  • Working knowledge of all Calibration methods.
