We are looking for a talented individual with a proven track record of delivering marine ornithological Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). Offer can be made at either Consultant or Senior Consultant level, depending on experience.
MarineSpace, an ERM Group Company, are part of the Capital Project Delivery (CPD) Team and are driving the development of ERM’s Marine Centre of Excellence – a world-leading hub of marine environmental and planning consultancy services for a wide range of clients across numerous seabed user sectors and marine projects, including offshore wind.
You will manage specialist technical input to EIAs from external subcontractors, such as Collision Risk Modelling (CRM) and Population Viability Analysis (PVA). You’ll have a thorough understanding of these key assessment aspects so that conclusions can be reviewed, questioned, and challenged. Scope also exists for an ambitious applicant to take a more proactive lead in developing our in-house capabilities in the ornithological aspects of EIA and Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA).

About You
You’ll be degree qualified in a relevant technical subject and have solid experience in either marine consultancy, academia or SNCB/eNGO. You’ll have experience of practical application of EIA procedures, and at least working knowledge of marine offshore wind impacts, and HRA. You’ll also require a good understanding of UK marine policy, legislation, and consenting issues.
