Purpose Statement
The primary purpose of the Laboratory Technician is assisting with all duties relating to Microbiology.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform or Review Environmental Monitoring at the plant (Microbial, Particulate, Water).
- Perform or Review product testing (Bioburden and Endotoxin).
- Perform or Review product validations.
- Collect, compile and analyse data and prepare laboratory reports.
- Assist in any investigations into out of specification results.
- Involvement in ordering materials for laboratory.
- Maintain 5S standards in the Microbiology laboratory and office area.
- Support the business with regard to process improvements and quality improvements.
- Ensure compliance to BSC Cork, Corporate and Regulatory requirements.
- Exposure to Bioburden and Endotoxin monitoring.
- Good team player, organised, accurate, excellent documentation skills
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Education & Experience
- Third level qualification in Science, Microbiology or related discipline.
- Ideally 2 years work experience within a GMP environment.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Strong Team Player and excellent collaborator.
- Experience in investigation and problem solving.
