Job Title
IT Services Category Buyer
As the IT Services Category Buyer, you’ll be part of our Corporate Purchasing Team and collaborate on the definition and implementation of global category practices for IT Services, focusing on Delivery Based Services, Outsourcing, and Fixed Price Projects.
You will optimize cost savings and procurement value by crafting and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives.
Your role is collaborative in defining global category strategies, cooperating with regional Lead Buyers across APAC and NORAM LATAM.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the execution of Global categories, lead sourcing projects (Request for Proposal (RFP)), contract implementation, and drive contract compliance.
Manage end-to-end sourcing processes from negotiation to contract.
Lead supplier selection and data-driven negotiations.
Potential contract implementation tasks with Regional Buyers and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams as needed in relation to purchasing scope.
2. Collaborate on the procurement strategy definition and implementation, from strategic planning to sourcing execution for a set of global categories.
Support the Category Lead in the definition of a priority list of categories suitable for strategic sourcing initiatives.
Lead internal and external analysis (industry and supplier) as a member of a cross-functional sourcing team.
Coordinate and manage all steps of the sourcing process (Request for Proposal (RFP), contract management).
Perform market analysis for the IT Services category, benchmarking prices and exploring the inclusion of new vendors from relevant markets.
3. Manage vendor relationships
In line with the defined procurement strategy, support the classification and categorization of vendors.
Lead the service governance with key vendors in the IT Services area.
Contribute to the implementation of the Vendor Management model for strategic vendors within the IT Services perimeter.
Continuously track supplier performance and lead supplier development activities.
Identify potential contract improvement opportunities and re-negotiations.
4. Manage internal customer relationships
Develop a strong relationship with main stakeholders of the IT Services area within the Amadeus organization.
Improve and reinforce procurement’s profile and recognition within the internal customer community.
About the Ideal Candidate
Demonstrates approximately 3 years of experience in a strategic technology procurement role (focused on IT Services) within an international company.
Possesses knowledge of contract management tools, sourcing tools (ideally Coupa), and virtual collaboration tools (SharePoint, etc.).
Is proficient in English; other languages are a plus.
Has knowledge of services, strategic sourcing projects management, negotiation principles/techniques, and contractual legal frameworks negotiation and later contract lifecycle management.
