Job Description

U.S. Bank has a new manager position opening within our fast-growing Global Custody Operations group. The Global Corporate Actions and Entitlements team manages corporate events for U.S. Bank’s global client base, in a busy and dynamic environment.

The team is responsible for entitlement calculation, event processing, reconciliations, and query management, relating to voluntary and mandatory corporate actions, ensuring the relevant proceeds are posted accurately and on time.

This position would oversee the day-to-day activities of the team, work with team members on enhancing processing and workflow as well as work with senior leaders and peers on upcoming initiatives. The team works directly with their U.S. counterparts on daily tasks.

The manager role with work with their US peers on the daily workflow as well as team improvements.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs day to day routine with team in relation to current corporate action and income processing activities.
  • Proactively and effectively addresses customer, business line and management inquiries and escalates where appropriate.
  • Helps manage and oversees the updating and reviewing departmental procedures.
  • Leads and identifies areas of improvement to enhance the control environment and works with senior leaders and team to effect changes.
  • Maintains awareness of legal and regulatory requirements, pertinent to trust and the securities industry.
  • Accountable for understanding and achieving team Service Level Agreements.
  • Lead and participates in team and cross-functional projects.

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • 4 years of related industry and/or management experience.
  • Third level degree, with specialisation in Finance, desirable.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and meet established deadlines, in a dynamic work environment.
  • Can discern time-sensitive issues and prioritize appropriately.
  • Financial Impact awareness – appreciates the risk impact of actions undertaken.
  • Exhibits analytical, problem-solving, people leader, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new processing systems.
  • Asset Servicing / Custody experience.
  • Knowledge of corporate action and income is desirable.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Global markets is desirable.
