We are looking for a motivated Junior Traffic Assistant to support our Ferroalloys/Nickel team at our headquarters in Baar. This role will focus on administrative activities and supports traffic people with tasks in accounting and file maintenance.
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Assisting the traffic team with the issuance of documents for negotiation under different payment instruments such as Letter of Credit, Documentary Collection, Advance Payment, TT Payment
- Booking invoices for deliveries into our in-house computer system to record purchases or sales
- Checking storages/inspection companies’ invoices received from warehouse or inspection companies and preparing them for payment based on traffic inputs
- Collecting (electronically) finalized traffic files and preparing them for final liquidation
- Appointing Independent Surveyors for disport inspection and monitoring email correspondence
- Various administrative tasks on regular or ad hoc basis as needed by the traffic team
- Basic email correspondence collecting data/information needed from field offices/inspection companies based on traffic input
The ideal candidate
- Driven, flexible working style and able to work in a time-sensitive setting
- Can-do and positive attitude with a high ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment
- Has efficient and well organized working skills and good accuracy and attention to detail
- Good know-how in using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Is looking for a chance to eventually move to a future traffic position
Qualifications and requirements:
- A solid educational background (commercial apprenticeship)
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Conversational speaking ability in another European language, preferably German
- Current SWISS B/C Permit or passport holder of EU
