Team Leader Laboratory

Engine Engineering

The Team Leader Laboratory Manager in the department Engine Engineering, is responsible for leading the laboratory personnel disciplinary as well as professionally making sure that the agreed service level is provided at any time for laboratory services delivered for routine and/or non- routine chemical and / or physical analysis for internal or external customers. It is part of this position to ensure that personnel respect SR Technics’ rules and regulations as well as regulatory requirements, to challenge and encourage employees and, where necessary, to take measures. The Laboratory Manager makes sure personnel is properly trained and familiarized with the working environment, does have the required means available to deliver what is defined in the respective position profiles. The Laboratory Manager plans investments, the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment respectively manages the replacement of such in coordination with the business. Furthermore, the laboratory manager ensures that new methods and capabilities are developed and driven as needed by the organization.

Your tasks

  • Make sure agreed laboratory services/products are delivered as agreed.
  • Lead disciplinary and professionally.
  • Establish the compliance to applicable internal (SR Technics) as well as external instructions and regulations while providing laboratory services.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Control the availability of required laboratory consumables.
  • Ensure the availability of laboratory equipment.
  • Make sure laboratory personnel is trained and familiarized with applicable internal standards and the working environment.
  • Control the attendance and absences of laboratory personnel (SAP).
  • Further development of capabilities according to the needs of the business.

Your profile

  • Scientific/Technical degree (EQF Level 6 to Level 8 or equivalent)
  • English B2, German B1
  • Proactive and flexible character with a strong achiever mentality
  • Structured and cross-linked thinker
  • Used to work in a strongly regulated environment
  • Strong leader, motivator and communicator
  • Proven interpersonal skills (coaching, delegation, team empowerment)
