About The Team
The core applications team at Stripe owns, integrates, administers and maintains the systems that keep Stripe running smoothly (Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Confluence and Dropbox, etc). Your work will connect Stripes from around the world and contribute directly to the company’s mission of increasing the GDP of the internet. As a SaaS Operations Engineer on the core applications team, you will play a critical role across our entire portfolio of third party applications, running both cloud and on premise. What you’ll do
You will act as the service owner for multiple company-wide SaaS applications. You will act as a solutions architect and strategist for the SaaS applications and services that Stripe relies upon. You will take action on escalations from our partner teams. You will participate in an on-call rotation. You will work in two week Sprints.
Responsibilities
- Act as a final escalation point from Helpdesk agents for issues with CoreApps owned systems
- Directly integrate (and support efforts to integrate) SaaS applications with other parts of Stripe’s corporate technology stack
- Partner with teams across Stripe to transition ownership of SaaS applications into the Corporate Technology organization
- Lead projects to audit and optimize our SaaS portfolio, focusing on improvements to security, permissions, automation, scalability, end-user experience, and license usage
- Participate in renewal conversations with our vendor partners
- Develop programs or processes to communicate and drive adoption of new product features company-wide
- Participate in regular interviews with our user population to understand pain points, and use their feedback as an input into our strategic roadmap
- Design creative solutions, advocate for best practices, and lead by example as a service owner as Stripe evolves and scales in complexity
- Help grow and mentor others in the corporate technology organization
- Participate in an on-call rotation

Hybrid work at Stripe
Our Chicago, Dublin, and Singapore teams spend at least 50% of their time in their local offices. We believe that more in-person interactions will contribute to better results for our employees and Stripe. Increased office time allows for improved collaboration, efficiency, and informal learning opportunities, fostering a stronger community and building our culture. We will apply the insights gained from these initial three locations to continue refining our hybrid approach.
