Location: Dublin (Open torelocators)

Contract length: 12 months (3 years project so possibility of extension)

Reliability Engineer needed to support a new product development project. A complex electro mechanical medical device where reliability is to be designed into the product from the start. Component selection, module testing, system testing, will all play a part in this role.

Understands the business needs of the company and has a thorough knowledge of the Product requirements

Work with the device design group build reliability into the device design from design concept.

Helps identify OEM parts that will enhance product reliability.

Responsible for establishing reliability plan and specifications in line with FDA guidance.

Responsible for authoring reliability reports to support regulatory submissions and approvals.

Responsible for liaising with manufacturing to ensure reliable measurement systems are in place such as metrology fixtures, functional testers and any other analytical equipment.

Able& willing to develop test methods and procedures.

Functions well in a team environment. Gains consensus, leads, influences, and ensures cross-discipline participation and feedback.

Prepares written communication. Conveys information effectively through formal and informal documents, eg, develops proposals, project summaries, and design documentation.

An engineering professional who, working with little or no supervision, applies advanced scientific knowledge, engineering knowledge, mathematics and ingenuity to complete complex assignments.

Mentors' others by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance

Education/Experience/Skills

  • BS or MS degree in a scientific or engineering discipline
  • Reliability Engineering Experience of complex Electrical/Mechanical products
  • Medical Device Development Experience
