Job Description
Project Leadership:
- Develop and execute detailed project plans for migrating existing infrastructure into a private cloud environment.
- Define clear project scope, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including IT, security, compliance, and external vendors, to achieve project goals.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the main point of contact between technical teams, business units, and external cloud providers.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and decisions to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
Risk & Compliance Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the migration, including downtime, data security, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to financial regulations and industry best practices.
Technical Oversight:
- Coordinate the assessment of current infrastructure and define the target architecture in the private cloud.
- Ensure seamless integration with existing systems, applications, and security protocols.
- Supervise data migration activities to ensure data integrity, security, and minimal service disruption.
Performance Monitoring:
- Track project progress using appropriate KPIs and tools, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Conduct post-migration reviews to evaluate project success and implement lessons learned
The Successful Applicant
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of IT project management experience, including infrastructure migration projects.
- Strong knowledge of private cloud technologies and architecture (e.g., VMware, OpenStack, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with financial industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
- Proven ability to lead large-scale, mission-critical projects in a highly regulated environment.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Eligible to work in Switzerland (EU or Swiss citizenship)
Preferred:
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and cloud computing (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Hands-on experience with data center operations and cloud migration strategies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools.
