Maintenance Technician (Pharma) x2- (Co. Waterford)
Optimize recruitment are currently recruiting for 2 Maintenance Technician’s for a well-established company.
As part of the role, you will work with the Maintenance team and will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and production systems continue to operate as required.
This is a rotating 2 shift pattern with this role.

Salary: €18 per hour plus shift premium

The successful individual will have the following:

  • Own Transport is essential.
  • Engineering degree Qualification or qualified in an Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrument Engineering.
  • Experience within a GMP manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical and electronic skills and experience with diagnostic’s
  • Experience working on own initiative.
  • Experience in maintenance, repair activities.
  • Demonstrate levels of theoretical knowledge with practical application
  • An extensive level of computer proficiency

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Ensuring that any system issues is reported in a timely manner and addressed quickly.
  • Schedule and build reports on the day-to-day performance of systems.
  • Predicting, resolving, or escalating issues as needed.
  • Perform maintenance and improvement work on all equipment.
  • Assist the Maintenance program by performing efficient maintenance procedures and repairs.
  • Improving existing Planned Maintenance
  • Ensure equipment compliance with safety and regulatory standards are reported and documented.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all work completed e.g., durations, spare parts used, issues found etc.
  • Liaise with site maintenance manager on the procurement of spare and replacement parts for all production systems.
  • Ensure that maintenance cover for your areas is always provided.
  • Management and maintenance of detailed technical files and equipment history logs for all equipment.
  • Provide support to other departments if required.
  • Support of new product introductions and introductions of new equipment.
  • Enhance equipment availability to ensure strict adherence to the operational schedule.
  • Assist in the management of all required external contractors and suppliers.
