JOB DESCRIPTION
Sherwin Williams is looking for a Supply Chain Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks aimed at delivering excellent service to the customers with an optimized level of inventory of multiple manufacturing locations throughout Europe.
You will:
- Implement strategic plan regarding supply demand and inventory optimization.
- Deploy a plan to meet BU goals in term of service, inventory, risk and best option to supply the market at the lower cost.
- Assure service level according to target and policies defined by the Business Unit.
- Deploy common processes for all locations (plants, warehouses) of the General Industry (GI) EMEAI organization.
- Drive, challenge and follow up with stakeholders regarding finished goods obsolete stock.
- Manage a continuous improvement approach through proper set up of leading and lagging indicator and update/review of action plan.
- Develop and train the team: define goals, establish a yearly training plan and manage the performance cycle of individuals.
- Relationships: Sales directors and managers, Directors and Plant managers, SSC Team, Finance, Logistics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the S&OP/IBP cycle management for the BU: Align the Sales demand plan with the inventory plan and translate into Supply requirement for each plant and source of supply. The aim is to ensure that planning reflects demand and inventory targets, and to develop improvement action plans.
- Implement planning and replenishment models to meet the targets Inventory and Service, including the external warehouses which are part of the organization through Distribution Requirements Planning
- Develop a Rough-Cut Capacity Planning to verify bottlenecks by routing for each single manufacturing site.
- Define solution if production cell capacity is under constraint.
- Develop and implement a plan with yearly, quarterly, and monthly approach for budget purpose. Define production and manning needs by routings.
- Cooperate with customer service and sales teams to manage in the most effective way stops of consumptions or new introductions, with the scope of giving continuity to the service and minimize the risk of obsolescence.
- Cooperate with other functions in the analysis, management, and implementation of the corrective actions on no moving and slow-moving items.
- Support and translate the impact of special projects on planning, i.e. product transfer among different manufacturing sites.
- Develop preventive approach and specific action plan. Implement and monitor stock agreement as per stock policy.
- Support, change, and drive best in class process improvements related to order fulfillment processes.
- Ensure OTIF (On time in full) target is met for the defined business segments.
- Develop a collaborative approach with sales to reach total customer satisfaction.
- Develop Supply Chain projects to serve the market at lower cost (i.e. Economic Order Quantity).
- Collaborate with University on special projects with support of interns,
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Logistics, or another relevant subject,
- Qualification in supply chain concept and models (APICS certification preferred).
- Multi years’ experience in Inventory management, S&OP cycle deployment.
- Good knowledge on Supply Chain processes and ERPs (Oracle preferred),
- Good understanding about infrastructure, organization, and Supply Chain requirements,
- Be able to build productive relationships and communicate effectively at a variety of levels within Sherwin-Williams.
- Excellent leadership and project management abilities,
- Track record of delivering excellent service to other stakeholders.
- Advanced Office Skills (Excel, Power Point, knowledge of Access as a plus)
- Fluent in English and in Italian,
- Understanding of P&L and Cash balance of Supply Chain management
