Date Posted: 2024-11-01 Country: Spain Location: Benjamín Outram 1, 28918 LEGANES, Spain Job Title: Sr. Director, HRBP, Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Engineering - EMEA Grade Level: G7 Location: Madrid, Spain; Gien, France; Hybrid Remote Hiring Manager: Senior Vice President, HRBP, Global Product, Delivery & Customer Job Description Otis Human Resource’s Team is seeking a global HR Business Partner to support the; Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Engineering functions throughout the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Region. This role will partner with functional leadership teams in the region and align with the Operating Units in the development and implementation of a people strategy in all factories, engineering centers and supply chain within the region-collectively >2,000 colleagues. Otis is undergoing an operating model transformation, and the ideal candidate will have experience driving transformation while working effectively in a matrix organization. Extensive collaboration with regional Labor Relations and HRBP’s is required to ensure effective relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., Works Councils), and all obligations are met. Location: This position can be based in Spain or France with the option of hybrid remote. Responsibilities:
- Partner with EMEA Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Engineering leaders and Operating Unit and Operating Area HR Business Partners to develop people strategies that align with near term business performance and long-term functional transformation.
- Lead, coach, and develop the EMEA Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Engineering HR team as they drive people strategy & programs at a local factory / engineering center level (emphasis on building best practices across the operations network).
- Serve as a coach and trusted advisor to leaders as they strive to improve communication, employee engagement, team development, leadership, and organization performance and effectiveness, including a focus on Otis Absolutes (Ethics, Quality & Safety).
- Evaluate current state organization design and effectiveness and, where appropriate, seek opportunities to optimize based on internal and external micro and macro-economic trends.
- Partner with Functional Leader and their Leadership on talent, strategic workforce planning and workforce optimization.
- Provide oversight and compliance guidance to ensure that labor & employee relations obligations are met and partnerships with the works councils and unions are maximized.
- With a focus on employee and organization needs, partner effectively with global HR Centers of Excellence to support the implementation of people strategy – including talent attraction, (leadership and technical) development, engagement, and retention.
- Champion Otis DEI strategy for client groups, including building a more inclusive work environment and achieving diversity representation metrics through the implementation of a suite of programs and initiatives, including ERG deployment and leadership development initiatives.
- Ensure robust succession for key positions through the deployment of talent programs.
- Support and drive total rewards processes to effectively motivate workforce, while ensuring equitable pay practices.
- Partner with MyHR / Colleague Services to ensure effective delivery of manager and employee services.
- Build relationships across all levels of the organization to facilitate appropriate employee interactions & workforce free of fear of retaliation & harassment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field
- 7-10 years of Human Resources experience
- Strong business and HR acumen, critical thinking skills, and the ability to take initiative.
- Demonstrated track record of influencing without authority and ability to deliver effective coaching.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience partnering to drive talent acquisition needs and fill roles.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and influence others in a diverse and dynamic work environment and to build strong relationships across multiple functions.
- Strong presentation skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks and to organize workload to ensure timelines are met while managing competing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
