The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end-user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing, and Recycling, to name a few. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line, in challenging environments where customers put a premium on adaptability, reliability, and ease of use. How will you make an impact?

As the EMEA Sales Manager for the Product Inspection product line within the Production Process and Analytics (PPA) business unit of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will play a vital role in our sales and commercial activities. By leading the sales team selling, you will support significantly the driving growth and profitability. Reporting to the Commercial Leader EMEA, you will build and maintain strong customer relationships, explore avenues for expansion, and improve market penetration. Your sales expertise and leading skills will be crucial in meeting our sales and profit targets.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in science or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 3+ years of sales experience, familiarity with or science background preferred. 3 years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the activities of Sales Team for Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
  • Meet or exceed the regional order-booking and revenue targets.
  • Define strategies and implement an annual regional business plan to enhance team performance.
  • Lead or participate in project teams to improve business performance.
  • Resolve problem customer accounts using regional resources, including local service support and product support, applications, marketing, and engineering.
  • Apply the CRM system to effectively handle, evaluate, segment, and report on the business pipeline and activities.
  • Provide up-to-date and accurate forecast.
  • Develop subordinates' careers for future growth through knowledge, skills, and attitudes development.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical/Scientist background with broad equipment experience (preferable in food, converting and/or packaging industry).
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to operate independently with initiative and sound business judgment.
  • Logical thought process and consistent track record to understand workplace culture.
  • Successfully leads subjective decision-making and demonstrates flexibility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, clear and concise.
  • Languages: Italian and English, with proficiency in business communication. Additional languages, particularly German and Spanish, are welcome.
  • Shown conflict resolution skills and mentor/counseling abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and closing.

Travel / Location Requirement

  • Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territories and to headquarters, up to 50% of the time.
  • Valid driving license.
