DXT Commodities SA, a leading commodity trading firm based in Lugano (Switzerland), is looking for a talented trader to strengthen its intraday power desk.

In this role you will be part of a fast-paced environment where delivering results at short notice is a must. You are a high-potential candidate with an attitude towards quantitative development as well as an ambition to grow into energy trading.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Analysis of the power market fundamentals, processes and operating principles
• Daily portfolio optimization on the intraday power markets
• Managing the internal processes between different teams

Requirements:

• The role requires in-office presence in Lugano, Switzerland
• Knowledge of the Spanish power market is a must, with a minimum of 1 year’s experience
• Degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in Engineering, Economics or equivalent relevant professional experience
• The position requires flexibility on work hours and days, due to market requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel) is required, VBA or Python coding is a plus
• Fluency in English and Spanish; other European languages would be an advantage
