Overview:
The PepsiCo Procurement Category Team for Base Film manages ~$800MM annual spend Globally. The team develops the long-term strategy for base film sourcing throughout the food and beverage global networks. Role will manage strategic supplier relationships while simultaneously interacting with various internal stakeholders (Sector and Global Category Procurement along with R&D, Sustainability, Innovation, Manufacturing Functions) to ensure all parties remain aligned and collaborate to reach company’s accelerated goals.
Responsibilities:
Incumbent can be based in Bern, Switzerland; Cairo, Egypt; and Hyderabad, India
This Sr. Manager will be the primary point of contact both internally and externally for stakeholders including Sector Category Leads with Global Category Procurement along with key global functional relationships. This person will be responsible for leading collection and formation the global strategy, best practices and unlocks ensuring the correct PEP Teams are engaged to support as needed for sectors. Expectations include but are not limited to the following:
Cost Transformation: Deliver step change productivity to achieve better than zero Net Commodity Inflation (NCA) by leveraging our global scale while maintaining operational excellence in each of the sectors.- pep+ Transformation: Accelerate progress against our pep+ ambitions working with our vast network of global and local suppliers.
- Portfolio Transformation: Deliver breakthrough supplier-led innovation to meet consumer expectations and be successful in an increasingly competitive market. Provide a single owner for key global suppliers, elevating our relationships to ensure we unlock supplier driven innovation.
- Top Line Growth: Enable top-line growth by ensuring security of supply to minimize business disruption and drive innovation in partnership with key strategic suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Highly motivated self-starter with high integrity and ethics
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Procurement, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in products packaging; a basic knowledge of Flexible Film and/or Base Film making is preferred
- Solid understanding of financial analysis, cost modeling, supply chain mechanics, and negotiation
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment making tradeoff decisions quickly
- Able to effectively interact with all levels of management, and in multicultural settings
- Project management experience – especially managing multiple, high-profile projects
- Travel Requirement 40% global travel
