Legal Counsel (m/f/d)

REQUISITION ID: 8932 LOCATION: Madrid, ES, 28001 DEPARTMENT: Legal / Compliance / Security

YOUR TASKS:

  • Drafting and negotiating all types of contracts with Clients, such as complex supply and installation, EPC, and operation and maintenance contracts for wind farms.
  • Continuous legal support to the Project Management, Operations, Services and Procurement areas for both contract negotiation and review of claims arising from agreements with customers and suppliers in SAAPAC countries.
  • Assessment of contractual and commercial risks in contracts to report and present to management for approval.
  • Provide legal support on issues related to changes in the legislation and regulation of the renewable regulation of the renewables sector in SAAPAC's various countries and their impacts on our operations.
  • Coordinate with external firms to provide support to different areas for legal issues with a local scope.
  • Manage the timing and relationship with external firms that support the company in SAAPAC countries.


YOUR PROFILE:

  • Qualification: Law Degree
  • Complementary Training: Master’s degree in law and Negotiation.
  • Profile: Assertive professional, with good negotiation skills and able to work in a team and under pressure.
  • Professional with critical thinking, capable of making clear, impartial and well-justified judgements, and with oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional with integrity, able to build and maintain trusting and collaborative relationships within the team and with support areas.
  • Native or advance professional English.
  • Minimum 7 years'experience of which 3 years'experience in Energy or construction sector.
  • Experience in a transnational company in the energy sector or in a first level top-tier law firm.
  • Experience in drafting, review and negotiation of Sale and Purchase Agreements, Services and Maintenance Agreements, EPC, BoP.
  • Experience in autonomously handling the legal aspects of transactions from start to finish.
  • Availability to travel.
