Digital Editor - Strategic Intelligence Team The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas. Motivation for the Role The Forum’s pioneering digital knowledge and collaboration tools, including its dynamic Strategic Intelligence platform and its Transformation Maps, blend knowledge and insight from the Forum’s extensive network of experts with a machine-intelligence driven aggregation of the latest research, analysis, and data from the most respected sources around the world. They have been adopted by global multi-national corporations for their strategic planning purposes, by governments and other public sector actors in support of policy formulation and to address global challenges, and by students and academics as a learning resource. To support this work, the Strategic Intelligence team is looking to recruit a dynamic, energetic, and experienced Digital Editor with a keen interest in global issues and emerging trends and developments to join our Strategic Intelligence team. The Digital Editor will play a crucial role working with experts from leading universities, research institutions and international organizations to curate, edit and manage content that aligns with our mission and the highest editorial standards. About the Strategic Intelligence Team The Strategic Intelligence team at the World Economic Forum brings together leading global experts and policymakers to provide insights and analysis on key global issues. The team works through various digital platforms to deliver high-quality content that informs and engages our diverse audience. Reporting lines and interactions This position will report to the Head of Content and Partnerships in the Strategic Intelligence team. Responsibilities Content Management & Strategy:

  • Oversee the creation, curation, and editing of digital content to ensure it aligns with the team's strategic goals and editorial standards.
  • Work with internal and external partners to deliver expert contextual briefings on issues related to nature and climate; science and technology; security and governance; social and economic development; and global industries.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform content strategy and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of content and make data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct regular content audits to identify gaps and opportunities for optimization.

Editorial Oversight:

  • Ensure the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of all published content.
  • During busy periods, manage a surge capacity of additional editors and freelancers to produce high-quality content.
  • Provide editorial guidance and feedback to team members to maintain high standards of content quality.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure content aligns with overall institutional objectives.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including partners and contributors, to source and develop content.
  • Represent the Strategic Intelligence team in internal and external meetings and events.

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in a relevant field such as journalism, communications, or digital media.
  • 6+ years of experience in digital content management, editing, or a related field.
  • Strong editorial skills with a keen eye for detail and a passion for high-quality content.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing digital content strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools.
