Who You'll Work With

You will be based in our Madrid office as part of the Iberia Human Resources Team. You will work closely in a friendly, busy and exciting working atmosphere serving firm members. You will be responsible for the execution, maintenance, and delivery of payroll, ensuring compliance with local law and collective agreement ensuring respective communication to the different local authorities. You will ensure compliance with all legal requirements and support exceptional risk management. You will be the go-to for a range of HR policies and guidelines and will serve as points of contacts for colleagues who require assistance.

Your impact within our firm

You will oversee and manage various human resources and payroll programs under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager and team members. Your role will include ensuring compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and best practices. You will handle end-to-end payroll calculations (in-house payroll) and ensure timely social security delivery. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to internal policies, processes, and external regulations, working closely with different teams to issue payroll inputs. You will oversee tax and social security aspects affecting payroll, including personal and non-resident income taxes, and provide assistance to employees with labor and tax-related questions. Serving as a front-line resource for human resources inquiries, you will escalate issues when necessary and offer appropriate responses and expert advice on routine and complex payroll-related issues. Conducting audits to maintain high data integrity and compliance, you will ensure the accuracy and quality of employee data, keeping administrative files updated locally. You will support the implementation of the “flex remuneration program” and assist employees with enrollments in the Iberia benefits program. Providing new hires with payroll and benefits explanations, you will instruct them on enrollment and fulfillment procedures, and review monthly payroll deductions. Continuous support to the human resources, payroll, and benefits teams will be part of your role, as well as ensuring the firm's payroll practices comply with applicable laws and regulations. You will contribute to various human resources projects in the Iberia region and continuously improve current processes within the Payroll and Human Resources departments. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and employee benefits, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. Your qualifications and skills

  • Essential university degree in Human Resources (or business management with HR component), or Payroll
  • 2+ years of general HR experience
  • 2+ Years proven experience in payroll
  • 2+ Years exposure to HR systems and Spanish labor law
  • Advanced oral and written English/Spanish level
  • Availability to travel (mainly between Lisbon and Madrid)
  • Strong organizational ability and problem solve mentality
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent customer services attitude and professional communication skills
  • Experience of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge in labor payroll program Navision will be a plus
