As Head of Thought Leadership & Editorial, you will be at the forefront of shaping and driving strategic thought leadership initiatives as part of the Group Communications and Public Affairs team. Your role will be pivotal in developing and executing a comprehensive thought leadership strategy that supports our broader corporate communications priorities. You will be instrumental in identifying content gaps and opportunities to showcase our ex-pertise and leadership in areas that matter most to our clients. Capable of setting out a clear vision, you will not be afraid of rolling up your sleeves to deliver.

What you will do

  • Strategic Development: Craft and implement a robust thought leadership strategy that aligns with our corporate communications goals and enhances our brand's reputation.
  • Content Innovation: Identify content gaps and opportunities, ensuring we consistently highlight our expertise and leadership in areas crucial to our clients.
  • Partnership Management: Select and manage external partners, including think tanks, universities, and other third-party platforms, to deliver impactful research, platforms, and events.
  • Collaboration: Build and nurture strong partnerships with key business stakeholders on content development, and work closely with the broader communications and public affairs team on targeted activation initiatives.
  • Activation Support: Work with media and social media teams on high impact activation ensuring alignment with our corporate communications strategy.
  • Leadership: As well as delivery of the TL strategy for the division you will be responsible for leading a team of 7.


What you bring

  • Corporate Communications Expertise: Proven background in corporate communications and thought leadership.
  • Exposure to Public Policy: experience working with or in public policy, politics or related fields.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in insurance (Life and GI) or wider financial services sector.
  • Innovative Thinking: Demonstrated ability to innovate, think creatively, and deliver impactful thought leadership initiatives.
  • Leadership and Management: Management experience with proven ability to build coalitions and work in partnership across functions.
  • Collaboration: Excellent collaboration skills, with a proven ability to build partnerships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
