Grid Engineer

WRS are recruiting for a Grid Engineer to join an experienced renewable energy developer in Italy.

You will have an understanding of the grid (distribution and transmission) procedures in the development of PV and/or Wind projects in Italy, bringing and growing your expertise and talent to nourish our team approach with the grid connections. As a Grid Engineer, you will proactively support the wind and solar business development in Italy, focusing on the team targets..

Main tasks and activities

  • Liaising with key clients for the Italian Wind, storage and Solar pipeline;
  • Liaising with sub-contractor activities and deliverables;
  • Communication with relevant stakeholders (DNO, TSO and internal teams);
  • Make sure deliverables are correctly developed and dispatched;
  • Review timetables and deadlines with administrative and management teams.

The successful applicant will possess expertise in

  • Grid – Proven understanding of ‘greenfield’ development process for grid connected assets.
  • Grid Code - basic knowledge of the Italian grid code. Minimum one year of experience.
  • Energy Markets - Knowledge of the electricity market in Italy, including but not limited to interaction with grid operators (TSO and distribution companies).
  • Knowledge of the Italian regulatory framework and development roadmaps. Minimum one year of experience.
