The Role

The Graduate Process Development Engineer position is based within the Valeo Industrial department and will primarily support senior team members in the introduction, upgrade and industrialisation of key process steps in Tuam & Daughter sites. . This is a diverse position where the successful applicant will be supporting all l aspects of their project(s)

Your challenges

• Research and develop Industrial Process design solutions for Advanced Driver Assistance Sensors including cameras, ECUs and domain controllers
• Hands on approach to Product prototyping, bench testing, data gathering and analysis
• Aid with the analysis of customer, Product and functional requirements specifications in order to define performance criteria to be achieved
• Support Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) activities. Define and identify functional and critical characteristics
• Support technical process standards assignments
• Support DFM activities through the product and process designs.
• Process Design simulations for New Equipment and tooling
• Process Performance evaluation and Qualification
• Interfacing across a multidisciplinary environment in a clear and effective manner. Technical communication with customers and suppliers
• Generation of Timing Plans for tracking project deliveries
• Generation of Technical & Training equipment/process documentation

Personal Attributes

• Genuine interest and curiosity in engineering topics and Industrial engineering
• Methodical problem solver capable of applying problem solving techniques
• High level of enthusiasm and motivation and able to take input from others
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues in English to different audiences in both written and verbal forms, e.g. reports, specifications, presentations
• Good team player able-ness to work within a multinational team environment

Education

• Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial/Electronics Engineering or Equivalent

Professional Experience

• Interest in developing Equipment and Tooling Specifications
• Knowledge of high tech, automated equipment required.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Design, MSA, PFMEAs
