Schneider Digital
is the digital department of Schneider Electric, leading the digital transformation in the company by giving support globally to our internal teams and our clients. Schneider Digital consists of 6 Digital Hubs worldwide which are strategically located to ensure a 24/7 support across the company (France, China, India, USA, Mexico and Spain). Our Digital Hub in Barcelona is formed by +450 employees working in strategic projects and different roles such as Data, Cybersecurity, ERP, Cloud, Infrastructures, IT Project Management or Digital Marketing.
We are seeking a Global Payments Expert to join our dynamic Treasury IT team and work on our global e-banking solutions, especially FIS Payment Hub TRAX. The successful candidate will be trained up to become a recognised Group expert, providing guidance and support for e-banking payments to stakeholders globally. The Payments Expert will also be trained to have technical mastery of payment set-up in the Group's global e-banking platform FIS Payment Hub TRAX. Work on FIS Payment Hub TRAX will include configuring the platform and performing deployments for new entities and payment methods, as well as playing a key role in upgrade projects. In addition, the Unify roadmap will bring several years' deployment work for FIS Payment Hub TRAX as it is the best of breed e-banking solution for that program. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to acquire new skills and take on a mission-critical IT role at the heart of Group monetary flows, with global exposure to multiple business and digital stakeholders.
Main responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in e-banking payments and establish yourself as a recognized group expert
  • Develop technical knowledge of the FIS Payment Hub TRAX e-banking platform and configure, test, deploy and support payments in it
  • Participate in FIS Payment Hub TRAX upgrade work, focusing on payment file aspects.
  • Provide guidance for the set up of 'Host to Host' direct e-banking payments that are not routed through FIS Payment Hub TRAX.
  • Produce clear, structured documentation on the payment methods deployed and the FIS Payment Hub TRAX configurations
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of e-banking payment standards, especially SWIFT regulations
  • Establish close relationships with core Group banks' technical teams and keep up to date on their payment capabilities


Qualifications: What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance or a related field
  • Proven experience in configuring and deploying a global platform (not necessarily e-banking)
  • Experience of participating in platform upgrades that is transposable to e-banking
  • Basic knowledge and a demonstrated interest in programming (needed to write payment-formatting scripts)
  • Good technical support skills that can be used to troubleshoot and resolve payment issues
  • A demonstrated pre-existing interest in payments or another field of finance or IT
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and external partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English, Spanish is a plus
  • Awareness of waterfall and agile project manangement methodologies
  • Relevant IT or Finance certifications (e.g., PMI-PMP, Certified Payments Professional) are a plus
