We are looking for a Workday Core HCM Lead to join our Human Resources team in Winterthur, Switzerland.
In this role, you will be responsible for the global deployment of Workday Core HCM. You will focus on ensuring successful implementation, optimizing HR processes, enabling change, and managing the system's ongoing maintenance post implementation. You will act as the key connection between HR, IT, and external implementation partners, ensuring that Workday delivers exceptional value to Sulzer. Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Lead the global implementation of Workday Core HCM, aligning with business objectives, strategic priorities, and project timelines.
- Manage post-implementation system maintenance, stay ahead of system updates, and implement new features to maximize the system’s capabilities and value.
- Partner with HR teams, IT, and external vendors to streamline and optimize global HR processes using Workday.
- Act as the Workday Core HCM expert, overseeing system configurations, security, reporting, and ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
- Design and deliver targeted training programs to empower HR teams to effectively utilize Workday’s features.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring prompt resolution and a seamless user experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding business needs to drive adoption and secure buy-in for change initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Higher education in Human Resources (HR), IT, Computer Science, Economics, or related field—Workday certification is a plus.
- 5–8 years in HRIS roles, with expertise in implementing and maintaining Workday Core HCM globally.
- Strong project management and process optimization skills, with affinity for reporting and data management.
- Proficiency in MS Office (in particular Excel).
- Familiarity with global data privacy and compliance standards.
- Clear communication skills with attention to detail, effectively solve problems and adapt to change.
- Fluency in English (additional languages welcome).
