Teaching Assistants for General Chemistry, Organic Part-2 in the Spring Semester 2025

We are seeking Teaching Assistants for General Chemistry, Organic Part-2 (Allgemeine Chemie, Organischer Teil-2, 529-0012-03L AC/OC-2 for the Spring Semester 2025.

Job description

The Teaching Assistants will accompany the lecture, and they will conduct the weekly exercise groups with the students. Further duties include answering questions in an online chat during the lecture, and some grading. The scope of the position should average to 10 hours per week for 13 weeks, although the actual work in a given week may be more or less than the average. Training by the LET center is available. Compensation will be at the rate set by the Rektorat for student assistants.

Profile

Candidates are expected to have good language skills in German and English-the lecture itself is in German. ETH students will be given preference, especially those candidates who had taken the course previously. Students in final BSc year, or MSc students, are preferred, although students in the second BSc year with outstanding grades will also be considered. Candidates must already possess a valid residency/work permit.
