Overview

We are currently looking for Site EHS Engineers to support Construction, Civil Works, Equipment Installation and start up for a Furnace Building and WESP equipment.

German Speaking

Please note work is located in the Swiss Canton of St. Gallan.

Responsibilities

In this role the EHS Site Engineers will oversee various safety aspects on site;

grounds works, steel structure, building envelope, civil electrical works, civil mechanical works and new high voltage power supply.

EHS site Engineers will ensure that EHS requirements are fulfilled onsite from build through to equipment installation and start-up

Ensure vendor and contractor safety protocols are adhered to.

Ensure appropeiate EHS training, guidance and audit onsite; on-boarding, safety training, tool-box, progress meetings, RAMS, Work Permits etc

Will work closely with Site Management and stakeholders acting as EHS point of contact to drive and ensure Site Safety, Safety Protocols & planning, Emergency Response and Emergency Management Systems

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant relevant Health and Safety qualification
• Coming from and Engineering / Project Engineering background
• Proven competence of health & safety regulations, guidelines, and best practices in Construction.
• Experience in an EHS construction role or similar.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships.
• 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role in large scale projects
