Title And Summary

Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise open banking

Overview

Software engineers working on Mastercard's enterprise open banking platform play a key role in the development and maintenance of the products that secure high quality connectivity to banks across Europe. Building on the strong foundation of our state-of-the-art bank connectivity APIs, the engineers create turn-key solutions that take the burden of handling account information and payment initiation services from customers that want to spend their efforts building great products that leverage the full potential of the open banking standard.

Role

Enterprise open banking engineers work at the bleeding edge of the account information and payment initiation technologies, often solving problems that are yet to be tackled within the industry in areas of API security, data accessibility, processing, and analysis. You will be joining a group of highly skilled individuals working together as a team to push the limits of what is possible to achieve with open banking.

You will have many colleagues around different countries, with your nearest peers being located primarily in Denmark and Ireland.

About You

We are looking for motivated individuals that are looking to be a part of a newly formed team comprised of both industry veterans as well as newcomers. What they all have in common is the understanding that in order to achieve great things, being able to work together as a team is a must.

You will be spending most of your time in the Microsoft domain, meaning APIs built in C# with .NET (latest version) and ASP.NET deployed to the cloud (Azure). Deep knowledge of at least some of these areas is a requirement. However, we believe that learning is a part of the job, so if you for example have extensive experience building ASP.NET apps, but not in the cloud, do not hesitate to apply regardless.

Beyond that, it is expected that you have experience building software using modern development standards, meaning it should not come as a surprise that we utilise all the tools at our disposal from standard ticketing systems (Azure DevOps), VCS, test automation, to CI/CD pipelines.

Additionally, if you have experience with provisioning infrastructure as code (Terraform) as well as interest in computer security (Certificates, HTTPS) it would be a great benefit. Prior experience from working in closely regulated industries (financial, medical, etc.) is welcome, but not required.

And above all, we hope that you love solving problems!
