LINUX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (NO REMOTE)

• 
  Work location: Chiasso (CH)
• Contract: Permanent contract and in accordance with the provisions of the Swiss C.O.
• Working hours:Full time

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  5+ years of hands-on experience with Linux systems administration, including RHEL and CentOS;

• 
  Experience managing mission-critical systems supporting critical applications or services with 99.99% uptime requirements;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  Design, implement, and maintain high-availability infrastructure solutions at scale, including load balancing, failover mechanisms, and redundancy strategies;

• 
  Orchestrate deployments and updates across our infrastructure using Ansible to automate routine tasks, deploy infrastructure, and respond to incidents;

• 
  Implement and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and Nagios;

• 
  Proven track record of incident management and resolution, including root cause analysis and preventive measures;

• 
  Collaborate with development teams and DevOps to optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues;

DESIRED SKILLS:

• 
  Excellent documentation and communication skills;

• 
  Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration;

• 
  Experience with container orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and manage containerized applications;

• 
  Knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware;

• 
  Expertise in monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Nagios to configure alerts, dashboards, and analyze logs;

• 
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills;

• 
  Good understanding of distributed and highly available systems;

Nice to have:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions); Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure); Proficiency in version control systems (Git); Understanding of security best practices, vulnerability scanning, and intrusion detection systems;
