Position Summary

Velocity Global is looking for an Senior Information Security Engineer to join our growing Security team. This position is to be based in Dublin, Ireland. This full-time position will be responsible for advanced understanding across a broad range of security technologies and systems. Additionally, they will be technically savvy in configuring and implementing security control standards across all kinds of core and supporting technologies. In addition, the ideal candidate will understand threats, risks, vulnerabilities, and industry-leading control standards for cloud-enabled systems and service delivery. This individual will report to the Senior Vice President of Information Security

Responsibilities

• Security system deployment, configuration and optimization
• Authoring security requirements and control statements
• Systematic tuning and automation
• Training less experienced security engineers and security analysts
• Responding to advanced security threats and providing tier two support for security incidents
• Security design and architecture for new features and capabilities
• Drafting security policies, control standards and procedural documentation
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience working in Information Security
• 3+ years working as an Information Security Engineer
• Hands-on proficiency and experience with four or more of the following Information Security solutions/systems including:
• Data at Rest Encryption
• DLP
• IAM, CIAM, MFA
• CASB, SWG
• IDS/IPS
• UBA or EUBA, Predictive Analytics
• SOAR, Automated playbook or orchestration
• ALE, KMS
• SIEM, Logging & Monitoring,
• PAM
• DAM - Database Access Management
• DNS Reputation management
• Must have experience in one or more of the following control/compliance frameworks: NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2 compliance
• Ability to generate written reports, dashboards, and support documentation
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – Read, Write, Expound
• Ability to exhibit thought leadership, high-level problem solving, and excellence in understanding and delivering to meet business goals
• Desire to be part of a great team and to be a net gain for the team
