If you want to be part of this great project, join us as Senior Controller! You will join to a young, dynamic and international environment, where your role will be key to assist in the control and monitoring of the income statement, ensuring the closing, internal and group reporting in a timely manner, driving Financial Planning and Analysis and producing and providing relevant information and analytical work to the management team for proper decision making.


Your responsibilities:

  • Preparation of internal reports for the Management of Alpiq Energía España and at a Group level.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis and projections: preparation of the budget, the medium-term forecasting and the planning.
  • Lead and supervise the process for analyzing deviations over budget and controlling of energy purchases and sales, and of energy financial hedging.
  • Enhance Operational Efficiency: propose strategies for optimization and improvement of operational efficiency.
  • Lead the analysis of business profitability and efficiency. Perform analytical accounting and ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Evaluate the financial and operational performance of the business lines.
  • Monitor and report the company's key performance indicators.
  • Lead and identify improvement initiatives and optimization projects.
  • Establish internal control processes necessary to manage and grow the business.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: work closely with production, sales, finance, operations and IT teams to gather data and communicate findings and recommendations.

Your profile:

  • At least 10 years of working experience, where at least 5 years are in the energy management and/or gas and electricity trading sector.
  • Experience in an international group in a similar position and in a matrix organisation.
  • Knowledge of IFRS regulations.
  • Expert user in MS Office Excel and Power BI.
  • It would also be very worthy having knowledge of accounting of derivatives, advanced user of analytical data processing, knowledge of SAP and having knowledge of reporting tools.
  • High level in English (C1).
  • Strong problem-solving and results oriented, team player with analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with autonomy and proactivity.
