We are strengthening our Defence & Security BU, looking for a Sales Engineer to join our headquarters in Bologna, reporting hierarchically and functionally to the BU Sales & Technical Manager.

As a key team member, the person will contribute to driving sales by targeting new prospects and cultivating existing customer relationships to achieve high renewal rates and customer satisfaction.

Success in the role will be achieved by acquiring new customers, driving revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling, ensuring customer retention, and contributing to the overall success of our sales team and business unit.

In particular, the candidate will be involved in:

  • Definition of Custom-based solutions;
  • Proposition of plan, preparation, and execution of strategic deals in complex sales cycles;
  • Gross Margin analysis associated to each sales opportunity;
  • Create and deliver effective presentations that clearly communicate the value proposition;
  • Coordination with other departments (e.g. operations, technical dept, logistics, back office, etc.) and worldwide branches to plan the activities;
  • Effectively understand and communicate client needs;
  • Analysis of the global competition within the business unit proposal;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the solutions' technical specifications;
  • Continuous Improvement/Qualification of the supply chain
  • Handle information gathering to support decisions.


About the Candidate

  • University Degree preferably in civil/management/industrial/mechanical engineering;
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Fluent in English and Italian. Knowledge of a third language will be considered a plus;
  • Project Management – PMI certification will be considered a plus;
  • Ability to explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner;
  • Analysis and problem solving;
  • Organizational skills;
  • Effective communication;
  • Teamwork;
  • Problem solving;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Basic knowledge of Production and Assembly processes will be considered a plus.
