Regional Technical Consultant (RTC) for Europe

THE POSITION
These are your key tasks:
- Being a FIFA Ambassador on technical development for our Member Associations (MA)
- Manage relationships with European Member Associations (number to be determined)
- Regular and constant contact with the Technical Directors of the member associations in Europe
- Being aware of all programmes and services provided by the Global Football Development department
- Act as the first point of contact for the MA for all technical development matters. Support the elaboration and follow-up of technical development plans and strategies with the MA
- Execute the Amateur Football Environment Analysis, with presentation and follow-up of country reports in Europe
- Assistance with the implementation of the Talent Development Scheme in the member associations of Europe and close cooperation with the High-Performance Specialists in Europe
- Induction visits for new Technical Directors
- Assistance in the setting-up of the structure of the technical department of a federation
- Assistance in the recruitment of technical leaders (i.e. Technical Directors) in the federations (if requested by the MA)
- Planning, executing, and reporting of online calls and onsite visits referring to the different FIFA programmes
- Coordinate project management activities, including workshops, site inspections, and meetings with relevant parties.
- Any other duties as advised by the Football Development Operations department and Global Football Development Division

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
- Broad knowledge of football development in Europe, Familiar with FIFA’s and UEFA’s development programmes
- Experience in the technical development of football
- Excellent command of the global football landscape of MAs, confederations, clubs, leagues, and other stakeholders, including cultural differences
- Understanding how football/sports organisations are run and organised and more specifically on the technical development side
- Knowledge in delivering and organising consultancy activities - preferably in a sports environment
- Experience as a Technical Director of a federation, career as a player, qualified coach or coach instructor is a plus
- A sports leadership qualification and/or coaching qualification is preferable
- Fluency in oral and written English, any other languages (European) is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook )
- Willingness to travel
