LimmaTech Biologics AG is a Swiss clinical stage biopharmaceutical company. We are advancing our proprietary vaccine pipeline to halt the increasing threat of global infections due to emerging antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and sexually transmitted diseases. To support our Preclinical team, we are currently looking for a:

Preclinical scientist (100%)

You hold a life-sciences related degree and have at least three years of experience in Preclinical Science roles with strong analytical skills. While this position requires a solid foundation in wet lab techniques to interpret and oversee scientific work, it is a fully non-wet lab role focusing on project management, data analysis, and collaboration. Demonstrated working experience in an industrial biomedical research setting would be ideal.

As a Preclinical Scientist your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing data analysis, interpreting results, and preparing reports and presentations to inform project decisions
  • Overseeing and managing non-clinical studies with contract research organizations (research and GLP) to support both research and clinical development
  • Actively participating in internal and external scientific meetings and contributing to technical discussions
  • Applying project management skills to plan, initiate, execute, and monitor preclinical projects, including timelines, budgets, and risk assessments
  • Writing preclinical protocols, study reports, and other regulatory documents (e.g., Tox reports, IB, IND) accurately and in a timely manner
  • Coordinating with external collaborators and providers on in vivo and in vitro studies, ensuring clear and effective communication
  • Preparing materials for studies, coordinating shipments, and maintaining databases, freezers, and study materials in an organized manner
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines relevant to preclinical studies in all aspects of daily work
  • Designing and conducting in-house assays associated with preclinical data generation, if required

You are an efficient and enthusiastic team player with:

  • A master’s degree or higher in biology, microbiology, toxicology, or a related life sciences field
  • Strong expertise in wet lab techniques, such as ELISA, multiplexing immunoassays, bactericidal assays, and neutralization assays, as well as assay development and qualification
  • A proven track record of applying analytical skills in non-laboratory roles
  • Experience with vaccine development and good knowledge of regulatory guidelines for vaccines (advantageous)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks while multitasking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools, especially Excel and GraphPad Prism
  • Very good English skills (written and spoken)
  • Thriving in high-pressure environments
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
