Particularité
Duration of contract is for 3 years, with a possibility of extension over a 4th year.
We are seeking a PhD student in Epidemiology to join the #PopHealthLab and work on research funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (grant 10002347). The principal investigators are Dr. Cristian Carmeli, #PopHealthLab, and Prof. Philippe Wanner, Institute of Demography and Socioeconomics of the University of Geneva. The research aims to measure trends of health inequalities before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in Switzerland, using population-based administrative registers, and contemporary methods for descriptive and causal inference from observational data. The student will quantify trends of socioeconomic inequalities in infant mortality and other adverse birth outcomes under the supervision of Dr. Cristian Carmeli, and collaborate with Prof. Wanner and other scholars from CH and UK.

Exigences
- Master degree in epidemiology, demography, economics, or other related training in quantitative population and social sciences
- Earnest interest in health inequalities, epidemiology, and public health
- Experience with R statistical software
- Collaborative, self-motivated, and meticulous
- Excellent oral and written communication in English (German or French is a plus)
