Are you an experienced Structural Design Engineer with experience in structural analysis and management of drawing production?

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Lead Structural Design Engineer to join our growing team in Dublin. With excellent people skills, you have a proven ability to work in partnership at all levels. The role will focus on projects in the pharmaceutical and Data Centre Sectors.

With high levels of commitment, your responsibilities will include leading various stages of projects whilst gaining the opportunity to further develop technical and managerial skills along with excellent opportunities for career advancement. A key part of your role will be to support and mentor your team-members.

Responsibilities

• Experience across a broad range of structural engineering projects; experience in industrial buildings (Pharmaceutical, Food or Energy projects) would be an advantage
• Experience with managing a team of Engineers and Designers to develop structural packages on for tender and construction
• Coordination with other PM Group offices to understand the scope of work, deliverables, time lines, man hours etc.
• Progress reporting and manhour control for the Structural Scope.
• Experience with construction
• A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and business
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal/people skills with the ability to manage design personnel
• A proven track record working closely in partnership with clients and contractors and other members of design teams
• A proactive approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios
  
  

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent and ideally Chartered
• Minimum 15 years post graduate experience working for Engineering Consultancies
