Your role and responsibilities
Group Plan-to-Deliver (P2D) is the FP&A-related global process organization responsible for establishing the group-wide governance and process foundations to enable and support ABB value creation through planning, managing performance, and providing actionable insights to Business partners, Group leadership and Investors. This includes developing group policies, processes and competencies, unlocking value from process improvement, transformation, and digital automation. As the FP&A Global Process Governance Lead, you will be reporting to the Head of FP&A Governance and Operations / Group Plan-to-Deliver Global Process Owner, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. You will be responsible for establishing process governance, including but not limited to developing group-wide policies, driving end-to-end calendars and standard templates, and creating, monitoring and actioning process-related performance KPIs relevant to the Group Plan-To-Deliver Global Process. While the preference is to have the role located in Zurich, we will consider suitable candidates globally. Over time, your scope of process ownership may change as our processes mature hence, we are looking for a team member who is willing to grow within the Group P2D global process organization. Your main responsibilities include: • Plan-to-Deliver Group-Wide Policies: Identify, prioritize, and deliver group-wide policies important to the governance and functioning of the Group Plan-to-Deliver global process. • End-to-End Calendars and Standard Templates: Support Group FP&A operations teams in developing and maintaining end-to-end calendars and standard templates. • Performance Monitoring: Implement and manage a Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Dashboard to ensure visibility into process performance, compliance, and timeliness. • Assurance: Develop and maintain an assurance framework (e.g., relevant internal controls) specific to the Group Plan-to-Deliver global process as process governance and operations matures. • Process Documentation: Support Group FP&A operations teams in developing standardized process documentation in order to facilitate process improvements. • Finance Transformation Program Transition: Work with Plan-to-Deliver Finance Transformation Program (P2D FTP) team in the smooth and timely transition of relevant P2D FTP governance initiatives into the business-as-usual global process organization and operations. • Plan-to-Deliver Projects: Support on projects that deliver priority initiatives within the relevant process scope. Qualifications for the role
- Suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s level degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, with a minimum of ten years of experience in finance process-oriented roles, including process design; Big 4 or BPO driven transformation experience is beneficial
- Deep understanding of processes related to financial planning & analysis and planning and performance management
- Strategic thinking in developing, prioritizing and implementing process improvements
- International work experience obtained in a multinational company, with significant knowledge of ABB’s finance landscape an advantage
- Fluent in English, other languages are an added advantage
- Strong communication skills including experience working across multiple levels including executive level, functions and regions; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with personnel at all organizational levels and across functions as well as contributing to a team
- Cultural sensitivity, self-motivated and used to working in a dynamic and fast paced environment with aspirations of career growth within the company
- Willingness to work virtually and collaborate with colleagues located in different geographies
