Reporting to the Finance Transformation Program Associate Director in MSC Cruises SA, the Project Management Lead will be responsible for ensuring that finance projects activities & deliverables are in line with expectations and delivered on time. The Project Management Lead will cooperate with the Finance Transformation Team participating to planning, executing and monitoring phases of several business initiatives with special focus on S/4 HANA implementation program in coordination with IT & Business Teams.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in management, economics, business administration or in a related field
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in Project management
  • Excellent business analysis capabilities: process documentation, workflow, issue & mitigation solution conceptualisation
  • Good understanding of accounting processes
  • IT abilities and strong knowledge of Outlook, MSTeams, Sharepoint and Microsoft Office tools (Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with Atlassian JIRA and X-RAY add-on is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with project management processes, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is a plus
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of Italian is a plus
  • Knowledge of process design tool (like SAP Signavio) is a plus
  • Soft skills (proactivity, problem solving, communication, time management/organisation, motivation, curiosity)
  • Capability to simplify complex issues through conceptualisation into document and present simple solution through several options

The candidate will be responsible to assist the Finance Transformation and Development Department with S/4 HANA implementation program and particularly with the following activities:

Support the Project Team and stakeholders in executing all post go-live activities for the waves already delivered with particular focus on the O2C stream:

  • Monitor of daily flows, anticipating issues
  • Coordinate and facilitate issue resolutions and change requests implementation based on the priority
  • Identify and conceptualise finance business solutions to improve existing processes
  • Monitor, maintain and review Target Operating Model (including system authorization model, change management and organisational transformation), ensuring processes are executed as per the TOM
  • Provide regular feedback on the stabilisation - through the dashboard – to management and business owners
  • Manage business relations (especially the Sales department) to ensure any issue raised is managed and duly fixed

Support the Project Management central team in its daily duties across different project phases (solution build, test, training, go-live…) with particular focus on:

  • Stakeholders’ identification for each stream
  • Prepare supporting documentation for communication to the stakeholders across the different phases of the project
  • Training organisation and coordination (including Training Material review)
  • Test case definition and validation with MSC business referents to ensure that the solution meets quality standards and is free from errors or defects.
  • Organisation of FIT (Functional integration test – E2E) performed by Finance Transformation and of UAT (User Acceptance test) performed by Business
  • Ensure correct tracking of training and testing execution, logging all the issues faced
  • Assist program governance and other stakeholders with requested supporting documents
  • Establish and maintain communication channels between the business shareholders, trainers, testers, developers, and management.
  • Assist with finance process design (using SAP Signavio) and true-up (ensuring processes reflect reality and vice versa…)
  • Build and maintain project documentation (project plan, dashboards, procedures etc.) and keep the shared library updated
  • Participate and help to prepare periodic alignments and governance meetings.
  • Assist with systems functional cutover activities (business coordination & communication, frozen periods, controls….) and go-live (user support, system usage metrics, issue-log tracking…)
