We are hiring a driven Project Controls Manager with the relevant experience to support the Global Engineering (GE) Capital Projects for Lonza’s new facilities and infrastructure in Visp, Switzerland!
The Project Controls Manager will lead and coordinate project control activities including planning, cost control, risk management, change management and reporting of the project as part of the Lonza Visp GE project controls team.
The role will be based on site in Visp at minimum 4 days per week. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the GE Project Managers on all project controls matters through final initiation, execution and close out phases.
Direct and support project control team members (planners and cost engineers) to ensure project controls tools & processes are in place.
Monthly validation and consolidation of commercial reporting of the CAPEX projects (e.g. Scope, Spend, Cost & Schedule, Risk, Forecasting, etc.).
Be the diplomatic lead to larger groups of cross functional project team members, gaining consensus and garnering support for the path forward on commercial topics.
Support and Collaborate with GE PMO department to ensure that reporting processes are implemented and timelines are adhered to for the Capex Portfolio reporting.
Lead and Collaborate with GE Functions and related Stakeholders, ensuring capex funding, controlling, and forecasting is aligned.
Proactively contribute to the implementation, delivery and development of first in class project controls systems and tools.
Participate in delivery team and functional team meetings and workshops as required.
Respond to ad hoc requests for data, data analysis, and presentation materials.
Provide support to the project controls functional group as and when required.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Study Engineering, Science, Business Management, Quantity Surveying; Master’s degree (preferred)
Fluent English required. Business fluent in German an advantage.
Experience: 10+ years of experience as a project controls manager for large (> 100 Mio CHF) pharmaceutical projects.
Experience in an EPCm organisation is considered as a plus.
Ability to interpret data in a consistent and efficient manner and articulate relevant information to senior management.
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal and influencing skills.
Microsoft office proficient.
Primavera P6 proficient.
Proficiency in SAP, SAP Ariba and Oracle Primavera Unifier is desirable.
Experience working in a global environment.
Experience in pharmaceutical projects using Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning type contracts.
Ability to conduct analysis of complex/large data sets, draw conclusions accordingly, and prepare and support decisions.
