Job Description

Microchip’s fast-growing Analog Power and Interface Division (APID) is looking for an experienced and motivated Design-for-Test (DfT)

Technical Staff Engineer that will define and implement best DfT practices that enable designs to be more easily testable, cost effective and

provide reusable building blocks that can be used across multiple semiconductor device test applications. Special consideration will be given

to candidates who have had experience in mentoring and leading junior engineers as a technical team leader.

In This Job You Will

  • Work with international project teams on new semiconductor devices
  • Analyze device specification about testability needs and hints
  • Define DfT implementation
  • Review system verification of DfT implementation according to definition
  • Develop new methods and flows

Requirements/Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering
  • 12+ years of experience in the semiconductor business, as a design engineer, DfT engineer, test engineer, verification engineer
  • Experience in implementation of mixed-signal DfT
  • Experience in semiconductor device testing with mixed-signal ATE testers
  • Strong cross-functional teamwork and communication skills
  • Solid English language skills

Highly Desired Skills

  • Practical experience/knowledge in analog and mixed-signal circuit design
  • Knowledge of ATE tester specifications and limitations including interaction with PCB design/layout
  • Experience in reading and writing technical documentation
  • Experience on lab validation
  • Understanding electronic design schematics
  • Experience on tools like MS Teams, Cadence Virtuoso, KiCAD
  • Experience as a mentor and team leader
